Volunteering
The Migrant Children's Foundation is a non-profit organization designed to enrich the lives of the migrant community in and around Beijing. They work with migrant schools in the area providing the students and teachers with support, resources, English lessons and interaction through activity sessions.
MCF visits the schools twice weekly; Friday afternoons are dedicated to providing the students with a comprehensive English education, and Saturday mornings are aimed at running arts & crafts and sports sessions. Their Beijing Buddies program is a drop-in scheme, so there is no minimum or maximum commitment.Teaching in a migrant school is a very different experience from teaching in other schools, and volunteering with the migrant community is a worthwhile and rewarding experience.
